Indian Land

“India was the motherland of our race, Sanskrit the mother of Europe's languages, she was the mother of our philosophy; Mother India is in many ways the mother of us all.” (Anonymous)

India is the homeland of Hinduism. Peace and spirituality are invoked from this land unlike from anywhere else on earth.

India is a country of diversity living in unity. Every aspect of India’s landscape reflects this extraordinary mosaic of peoples, religions, and cultures. Perhaps most striking is the vast social-economic range seen in the cities where abject poverty and the “nouveau riche” live side by side.

Hinduism is practiced by the majority of the India’s population and is evidently a rich part of India’s landscape. It is not only in the architecture of the religious temples that Hinduism is found, but also in all aspects of every day life. The ever-present wandering cows, the intoxicating smells of traditional cuisine, and of course the gentle spirituality that Hindus weave into all elements of their lives, are what make India a unique and inspiring country.

If there is one single thing I have learned in India, it is indeed the appreciation of this saying "Sab kuch milega" a Hindi phrase, which can be translated as “Everything is possible”.
